Scheibe-Alsbach Hand Painted Porcelain Figurine BESSIERES by Kister Porzellan, Vintage German Porcelain Napoleon Soldier on Horse Collectible
This is a vintage German porcelain figurine depicting Bessieres (1663 – 1736) one of the military marshal in modern European history.
The figurine is quality as it was made by Kister, the famous German porcelain manufacturer from Scheibe-Alsbach, renowned for their good heavy weight hard-paste porcelain expertly hand painted with very fine details.
Marked on the side with impressed number 13 and with aKister Scheibe Alsbach marking (letter S with two crossed lines), a dark green mark which was used between 1925 and 1972.
Stamped with a “dark blue made in GDR” Countries imply marked their goods "Made in GDR" between 1893 and 1923 meaning it was their export product, going outside their own country.

In excellent condition, with no chips, cracks or restorations. The colors are vivid and the golden accents are intact. A collectable for a cabinet, shelf, or man's desk.
